here前面可以加介词。当here作副词时用于动词或介词之后表示“在这里，向这里”。理论上证明了here前可以加in。又如：Come over here！此处here前也有介词over，不过我们平时用的时候多省略了。

从含义上看，两者是一组反义词，但它们在用法却极为相似：

1. 两者均可用于句首引出某人或某事物，此时若主语是名词，则倒装(即主语放在谓语动词之

后）。如：

Look, here comes the teacher! 瞧，老师来了。

There goes the last train! 最后一班火车开走了!

但是，若主语是代词，则不要倒装。如：

There she goes! 她过去了。

2. 两者均可放在名词后作定语，以引人注意。如：

My friend here saw it happen. 我这位朋友就看见了它是怎样发生的。

How about the living there? Is it cheap? 那里的生活怎么样? 便宜吗?

3. 两者虽然都是副词，但却可用于某些介词后作宾语。如：

It’s very cold in here. 这里面很冷。

He lives somewhere near there. 他就住在那一带。

注意，here和there放在介词后作宾语的用法是有限制的，一般只能放在 from, in, near, over,

out of, round, through, down, around等之后，而不能随意与其他介词连用。如：

误：I’ve never been to here (there).（应去掉 to）

4. 在口语或非正式文体中，here’s 和there’s有时可用在复数名词前。如：

Here’s your keys. 这是你的钥匙。

There’s some children at the door. 门口有几个孩子。

5. 两者均可用作感叹词：here 主要用来引起对方注意，通常译为“喂”；there 主要用来安慰某人，可译为“好啦”“得啦”。如：

Here, let me try it. 喂！让我来试试看。

There, there! Stop crying. 好啦，好啦! 别哭了。
