1.half可直接修饰名词,这个名词既可以是复数,也可以是单数。例如：

2.half of后跟名词时,这个名词前应有the,this,my等限定词修饰,这时of也可省略.例如：

Half (of) the people are from England.

3.half of后也可接代词,这时of不能省略.例如：

Half of them enjoyed the party last night.
