message和information的区别

message是可数名词，意为“（书面或口头的）信息、消息、电邮（或手机）信息、（书籍、演讲的）要点”；作动词有“向（某人）传送（电子信息）”的意思。information是不可数名词，意为“信息、消息、情报、资料、资讯”，没有复数形式，也不能在前面加“a”，可表达为a piece of information或者some information。

1、message用法

（1）I got a message you were trying to reach me.

我得到了一条留言，说你在设法联系我。

（2）There were no messages for me at the hotel.

旅馆里没有给我的留言。

（3）We've had an urgent message saying that your father's ill.

我们得到个紧急消息说你父亲病了。

（4）There were four messages in my inbox.

我的收件箱里有四封邮件。

2、information用法

（1）Pat refused to give her any information about Sarah.

帕特拒绝向她提供任何关于萨拉的消息。

（2）He refused to comment before he had seen all the relevant information .

在看到全部相关资料之前，他拒绝评论。

（4）to collect/gather/obtain/receive information 收集/搜集/获取/接收信息
